Leon C. Saltzer, 68 of DuBois, Pennsylvania died on Monday, October 9, 2017, at Christ the King Manor in DuBois, Pennsylvania.
Born Sunday, August 28, 1949, in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Leroy C. Saltzer and the late Dorthy (Yabbish) Saltzer. He was the husband of the late Mary (Caltagarone) Saltzer.
He was a coal miner for many years. He was a member of the Eagles Club, Sons of Italy and the Army and Navy Club.
He is survived by his daughters, Laurie Cowan (Gregg) and Deborah Brewer (Michael) of Reynoldsville, PA, sister, Louise (Saltzer) Shay of Lebanon, PA, grandchildren Lauren Robinson (Danny), Erik Cowen and Krista Manning (Josh) of Reynoldsville PA and Dustin Brewer (Sam) of Latrobe PA, and great-grandchildren Mia Manning, Adam Brewer, Ezra Cowen and Easton Robinson.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by brothers, Raymond Saltzer and John Yabbish.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family
