Leroy Sherman Yohe

Leroy Sherman Yohe, 71, of Punxsutawney, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at Penn Highlands DuBois.

He was born on September 13, 1944, in Big Run, a son of the late Frank and Cleone (Hartzfeld) Yohe.

On April 20, 1968, he married the former Linda D. Haag. She survives.

Mr. Yohe was a member of the Soldier Community Church.

He worked as a press operator for Symmco for twenty-seven years.

His enjoyments were his grandchildren. He was a kind and caring grandpa, a great father that was always steadfast and dependable for his boys, and a loving husband that loved to dance with his wife Linda. He also enjoyed spending time with his dog “Bo”, watching the Steelers, Penguins, the Pirates and Penn State.

In addition to his wife Linda, he is survived by two sons, David Yohe and wife Beth of Troutville, Rob Yohe and wife Erica of Punxsutawney; three grandchildren, Hunter, Zack and Maliya Yohe; one brother, Delbert Yohe and wife Nancy of Hermitage.

Preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, William and Dale Yohe.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 15, 2016, at Brenda D. Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Big Run.

A funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Kevin Brooks.

Interment will be at Lakelawn Memorial Park.

Friends and family are invited to a luncheon that will be held at noon on Saturday at the Soldier Community Church. Please accept the family’s invitation and join them for a time of food and
fellowship and share your favorite memory of Leroy his family.
