Local Woman Accused of Stealing Over $10K From Brookville Band Booster Club

BROOKVILLE BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – A local woman is facing felony theft charges after police say she stole over $10,000.00 from the Brookville Band Booster Club over the course of two years.

According to court documents, the Brookville Borough Police Department filed the following criminal charges against 43-year-old Carolan K. Bailey, of Brookville, in Magisterial District Judge Gregory M. Bazylak’s office on Tuesday, November 29:

– Theft By Unlaw Taking-Movable Property, Felony 3
– Receiving Stolen Property, Felony 3

According to a release issued by Brookville Borough Police Department on November 29, police were contacted by a member of the Brookville Band Booster Club, who asked authorities to look into a possible theft of funds from the BBBC account.

Through investigation, police say it was determined that Carolan Bailey allegedly took approximately $10,766.81 from the BBBC account over a two-year period.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 10, at 11:00 a.m. with Judge Bazylak presiding.
