Lois J. (Geist) Wonderling

Lois J. (Geist) Wonderling, 65, Worthville, died Tuesday, November 17, 2015, at Clarion Hospital, Clarion.

She was born October 12, 1950, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Helen I. (Alcorn) Diem and William N. Geist.

On January 31, 1970, she married John M. Wonderling, who survives.

She was a member of the Brookville Church of God.

Lois was a graduate of the Punxsutawney High School Class of 1968.

She enjoyed singing gospel with her husband as they travelled from church to church, quilting, crocheting, cooking, baking, gardening, playing piano, shopping, and loved her children and grandchildren.

She was a member of the quilting club of Punxsutawney.

Lois worked for Paris Cleaners in the early 90’s as a Store Manager and Seamstress.

In addition to her husband, surviving relatives include three children, Phil Wonderling and wife Laura of Greensburg, PA, Michael Wonderling and girlfriend Betty Cordwell of Summerville, and Amanda Wonderling Raymond of Summerville; seven grandchildren, Gavin Raymond, Autumn Wonderling, Ian Raymond, Ben Wonderling, Nova Raymond, Jack Wonderling, and Benson Guess; a brother Fran Geist and wife Sherrie of Worthville; a sister Carol Stephens of Worthville; and a step-mother Mary Ann Swarmer.

She was preceded in death by her parents and step-father Tom Diem.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday, November 19, 2015 at the Brookville Church of God, 201 Freedom Lane, Brookville, PA 15825.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, November 20, 2015, at the Brookville Church of God, with Pastor Henry Scoff officiating.

Interment will be in Worthville Cemetery.
