Lois Y. Crawford, 96, of Punxsutawney, passed away Friday, August 6, 2021, in Butler, Pa.
Lois was born on January 6, 1925, in Rossiter, Pa., a daughter of the late Alice Bone and Isaac Tyger.
She graduated from Marion Center High School in 1943.
In October of 1946, Lois married Frank J. Crawford in Williamsport, Pa., where Frank was attending trade school. They returned to live in Punxsutawney in 1947.
She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Wesley Crawford and wife Kristin of Zelienople, PA, and Daniel Crawford of Tannersville, NY, as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and a sister Earla Kommer of Mars, PA.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three siblings: Rose Ferrier, Jane Gaston and Barney Tyger.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney, with a funeral service following visitation beginning at 11 a.m. with Reverend Michael Wilbur officiating.
Lois will be laid to eternal rest beside her beloved husband at Lakelawn Memorial Park, Reynoldsville, Pa.
