Lonnie Prescher

b9217166-51a5-42b9-ac05-b748ce556bd3Lonnie Prescher, 48, Stump Creek, passed away Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014, after a lengthy illness.

Born March 11, 1966, in Bedford, he was the son of Haddie Carol Prescher Tipping, who survives in Ohio.

Lonnie is also survived by his longtime girlfriend, Sammie Botelho of Stump Creek; three children: Billie Jo, Shawn and Tonya Kniseley, all of Reynoldsville; three grandchildren: Hayley Kniseley, Tye and Kiera LaBorde; two brothers; Bert and Brock Tipping; both of Ohio; three sisters: Renee Roper, Bridget and Erica Tipping all of Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Edward “Doc” and Doris Cole.

Lonnie was a 1984 graduate of Jefferson County Vocational School in Reynoldsville.

He was a supervisor of Pro-Form Powdered Metals in Punxsutawney.

He enjoyed metal detecting, fossil collecting, amateur archeology and mining history.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Leo Nedza Funeral Home in Sykesville.

Services will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Sykesville Memorial Cemetery.
