Luella A. Wolff

Luella A. Wolff, 96, DuBois, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Penn Highlands DuBois.

Born September 20, 1927, in Weedville, she was the daughter of the late George H. and Hattie (Timblin) Smith.

On March 25, 1943, she married James A. Wolff in Clarion, PA. He preceded her in death on July 19, 1999.

Luella was a nurse’s aide in the Buffalo, NY area and was employed by Brockway Glass for 19 years.

She enjoyed baking birthday cakes for people, ceramics, and arts and crafts.

Luella was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Amhurst, NY Fire Company.

AARP recognized Luella as an outstanding volunteer for her contributions in her community.

She was a member of DuBois Lakeside Church.

Luella is survived by her daughter, Donna (John) Overdorf, Treasure Lake; four grandchildren, William Nortum, Anna Kreckel, Amy Nedrow, and Leslie Imbrogno; six great-grandchildren; sister, June Craft, TX, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Luella was preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy (Wolff) Hetrick, a grandson, James Nortum, five brothers, and three sisters.

Friends and family will be received Saturday, March 30, 2024 from 10-11 a.m. from the Gardner Hill Community Church in Weedville.

Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at the church at 11 a.m. with Pastor Brett Dinger officiating.

Burial will be in Gardner Hill Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Adamson Funeral Chapel & Crematorium.
