Macklin D. “Hoop” Snyder

Macklin D. “Hoop” Snyder, 89, passed away on October 10, 2016, at UPMC Magee Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Mr. Snyder was born July 13, 1927, in Clearfield, Pa.

Macklin was a veteran of the US Navy.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy J. (Webster) Snyder.

He was a member of Bells Landing Baptist Church, and he enjoyed watching the Steelers and the Pirates.

He is survived by three daughters; Sue Craft and fiance’ Darrell Davis of Punxsutawney, Pa., Kathy Reddinger of Home, Pa., Holly Janco and husband Jody of Torrington, Connecticut, three grandchildren; Tara Craft and boyfriend Chris Wachob of Punxsutawney, Pa., Chanta Craft and boyfriend Paul Masi of Punxsutawney, Pa., Terry Reddinger of San Diego, CA, and two great-grandchildren; Jackson Fye of Punxsutawney, Pa. and a grandson on the way, Whit Wachob of Punxsutawney, Pa.

In addition to his wife Nancy, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Friends will be received Thursday, October 13 from 4-8 p.m. at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held Friday, October 14 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Bruce Dimmick officiating.

Interment is private for family.
