Man Accidentally Shoots Himself While Target Shooting

MILLSTONE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Marienville-based State Police say an accidental shooting occurred at the Allegheny National Forest in Millstone Township, Elk County.

According to police, around 9:00 p.m. on March 21, a 45-year-old man from Beaver Falls was target shooting at the Allegheny National Forest, 6 miles east of Loleta Road in Millstone Township, when he accidentally shot himself in the right leg with a revolver.

The man was transported by a family member to Marienville where he was then flown to UPMC Presby via Stat Medivac for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, police say.
