Man Accused of Assaulting Woman in Snyder Township

SNYDER TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A 26-year-old man is facing charges following a dispute on February 25, 2017, in Synder Township, Jefferson County.

DuBois-based State Police say the man, whose name was not been released, engaged in an argument with a known 26-year-old woman on February 25 around 8:53 p.m.

During the argument, the defendant allegedly grabbed the victim by the throat and slammed her to the ground.

When she tried to get back on her feet, she was thrown to the ground two additional times. The defendant then allegedly grabbed the victim by the shirt, ripping her under-garments.

He was arraigned and placed in the Jefferson County Jail on $10,000 bail.
