DuBois-Based State Police say the crash occurred on October 19 around 7:49 p.m. at mile marker 89.2.

According to police, a westbound 1998 Dodge Ram operated by 31-year-old Jameson L. Whitehill, of Bellefonte, exited the roadway for unknown reasons and traveled down a steep embankment before crashing into several trees.

Police say the vehicle came to a rest impaled in a drainage ditch.

Whitehill was transported to Penn Highlands-DuBois for treatment of moderate injuries.

Following the accident, police say a passenger in the vehicle, 26-year-old Harrison I. Shultz, of York, Pa., provided a fictitious name and date of birth to police.

Police list the nature of the accident as DUI-related.

According to online court documents, charges have not been filed against Shultz or Whitehill as of October 21.
