Man Arrested for Burglarizing Local Church

WINSLOW TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A local man has been arrested in connection with a burglary at a church in Reynoldsville.

According to a release issued on January 23, DuBois-based State Police PSP-Dubois received a call from a 67-year-old Reynoldsville man reporting that someone burglarized the Reynoldsville Gospel Center Church.

Police said a 46-year-old Falls Creek man gained entranced to the church by prying open a back door on January 16 around 12:42 a.m.

Once inside the church, he disarmed the building’s surveillance cameras and filled a green tote with miscellaneous tools and other items.

He also filled two cardboard boxes with tools “to be potentially removed at a later time.”

Before fleeing the scene, he disposed of numerous tires over an embankment on the property.

The suspect was positively identified via video surveillance footage, according to police.

Charges were filed through District Court 54-3-03.

The suspect’s name was not released.
