Man Charged After Allegedly Punching Woman in Face in Jefferson County

POLK TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Two people are facing charges following an altercation early Sunday morning in Polk Township, Jefferson County.

Dubois-based State Police responded to a report of a simple assault along State Route 949 around 2:00 a.m.

Investigators say Jason A. Crossland, 40, of Pittsburgh, engaged in a verbal argument that turned physical when he allegedly struck a 36-year-old Pittsburgh woman in the face with a closed fist.

The victim suffered a cut on her left cheek, according to police.

Charges were filed against Crossland at District Judge Gregory M. Bazylak’s office.
