Man Facing Charges After Sending Pornographic Image of Jefferson County Woman

PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. (EYT) – A man is facing charges after allegedly sending a pornographic photo of a Jefferson County woman to another man without her consent.

Court documents indicate that the Punxsutawney Borough Police Department filed criminal charges on August 28 against 40-year-old David Alan Matty of Elderton.

According to a criminal complaint, around 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 10, a known female victim and a known man arrived at the Punxsutawney Borough Police Department to report that David Alan Matty took a photo of her performing a sex act and later sent it to the known man.

Both the victim and the known man provided written statements.

The known man stated that he was at home when he received two images of the female victim along with another pornographic image of the victim performing a sex act.

Both the victim and the known man stated Matty sent the images as a form of harassment.

The victim also stated that the photo had been taken without her consent.

Based on the investigation, one count of second-degree misdemeanor unlawful dissemination of an intimate image was filed against Matty in Magisterial District Judge Jacqueline J. Mizerock on Tuesday, August 28.

A certified summons was also issued on August 28.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 4, with Judge Mizerock presiding.
