WARSAW TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Police say a vehicle slammed into an embankment and a tree after a man fell asleep at the wheel in Jefferson County.
According to police, around 1:21 p.m. on August 30, a one-vehicle crash occurred on Moore Bridge Road in Warsaw Township.
Police say 40-year-old Andrew C. Shaffer, of Brookville, was operating a 2006 Subaru Legacy, traveling east on Moore Bridge Road when he fell asleep at the wheel and struck an embankment and then a tree on the north side of the roadway.
Shaffer was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured.
