Man Killed, Passenger Injured in Motorcycle Crash in Indiana County

CONEMAUGH TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – A motorcyclist was killed and a passenger injured in a crash that occurred on Monday night in Indiana County.

According to WTAE News, the crash occurred on the 3100 block of Tunnelton Road shortly after 6:00 p.m. on Monday, September 6.

The Indiana County coroner reported the motorcyclist, identified as 39-year-old Mark Sraugue, of Blairsville, was operating a Harley Davidson motorcycle traveling northbound on Tunnelton Road when he failed to negotiate a left curve and went off the road, striking a utility pole.

According to the coroner, Sprague was not wearing a helmet and alcohol may have contributed to the crash.

Sprague’s passenger, whose name was not released, was taken to Forbes Regional Hospital with injuries of unknown severity.

The crash remains under investigation.
