Man Loses Control of Car, Crashes into Tree Along State Route 36

WESTOVER BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – Two people escaped injury in a one-vehicle crash yesterday in Westover Borough, Clearfield County.

Punxsutawney-based State Police say John D. Sheredy, 55, of Mahaffey, was traveling north on State Route 36 around 7:13 p.m. when he lost control of his 2006 Chevrolet Malibu.

Sheredy’s car slid off the roadway and crashed into a tree before coming to a final rest, according to State Police.

State Police say Sheredy and a 13-year-old male passenger escaped injury.

Sheredy was issued a traffic citation.
