Man Reaches for Item in Car, Crashes into Utility Pole

REYNOLDSVILLE BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – Police say a man was injured when he vehicle struck a utility pole in Reynoldsville Borough on Saturday afternoon.

According to police, around 12:56 p.m. on December 12, a one-vehicle crash occurred on Jackson Street just east of Swamp Alley.

Police say 86-year-old Michael E. Antonetti, of Reynoldsville, was operating a 2016 Honda CRV, traveling west on Jackson Street, when he reached for something in the passenger side and the vehicle drifted off the side of the roadway and struck a utility pole.

Antonetti was wearing a seatbelt.

He suffered suspected minor injuries and was transported to Penn Highlands DuBois by Jefferson County EMS.

The vehicle sustained disabling damage.

Antonetti was cited for a traffic violation.
