Marc R. Deasey

d684f3a9-e7d1-456f-9a51-cf7521da12cf[1]Marc R. Deasey, age 60, of DuBois, PA passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Mulberry Square, Punxsutawney, PA after a short illness.

He was born March 18, 1955 in DuBois, PA. He was the son of Raymond L. and Ethel Mae (Phillips) Deasey of Rockton, PA.

He is survived by his wife Diane M. (Lines) Deasey whom he married August 24, 1974 at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, of which he was a member.

He was a 1973 graduate of Jeff Tech having studied drafting.
He was a CAD operator for GAI Consultants (formerly Lee-Simpson Associates) for the past 42 years.

He was a lifetime member of Goodwill Hose Co. #5 and the Falls Creek Eagles.

His passions were spending time with his family; hunting; following Dale Earnhart Sr. and Jr. in NASCAR racing; Hummingbird Speedway racing; Pittsburgh Steelers; and attending Pittsburgh Penguin hockey games. He also enjoyed the guys “Saturday morning coffee” group and following his niece and nephew’s high school sporting events. He will be remembered for his apple pie moonshine.

He was the proud father of his son, Marc Eric Deasey, of Glenshaw and daughter, Jillian Reneé Deasey, of Pittsburgh.

He is also survived by his sister, Raye Llyn “Sue” Prontock (Thomas), of DuBois and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Hahne Cancer Center, 100 Hospital Avenue, DuBois, PA; or “pay it forward” as he often did in life to the donor’s choice.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and Sunday from noon until the time of service at the Adamson Funeral Chapel, Inc.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral chapel with Pastor Kelley Schanely officiating.

Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
