Marie C. Truesdale, age 94, a long time Shawmut Road Brockport resident, currently a resident at Highland View Health Care in Brockway died on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Highland View.
Born on February 18, 1922, she was the daughter of the late David and Kate Gustafson Moberg. She was married to Donald D. Truesdale Sr. and he preceded her in death on November 18, 2011.
Retired, Marie had been employed as a Packer at Brockway Glass.
She was a member at the Presbyterian Church in Brockway and is one of it’s oldest parishioners.
Marie was also a member of Philotes and served as it’s secretary. She also served on the church Session.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, cheering on the Pittsburgh Pirates and above all spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by a daughter Linda (Rodney) Munn of Brockport and 2 sons David (Karen) Truesdale Jr. of Bellefonte, PA; Tom (Penny) Truesdale of DuBois; 6 grandchildren: Matthew Truesdale, Katie Truesdale, Jason Munn, Tiffany Truesdale, Shawn Truesdale, Shannon Truesdale and 2 great grandchildren Zachary and Kyra Munn.
In addition to her parents and her husband she is also preceded in death by 2 sisters Betty Moberg, Mildred Koval; 3 brothers John and Don Moberg and an infant brother Danny.
Calling hours will be on Sunday, December 18 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway and again from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Monday at the Presbyterian Church in Brockway.
The Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM at the Presbyterian Church with Rev. Christopher McCloskey officiating.
Burial will follow in Lakelawn Memorial Park in Reynoldsville.
Memorial donations may be made to the Presbyterian Church or the charity of the donor’s choice.
