Marie Kengersky of Punxsutawney, passed away Thursday December 8, 2016 at Saint Vincent Hospital in Erie.
Mrs. Kengersky was born December 31, 1925 in Delancey, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Problys) Poydock.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband Sylvester Kengersky.
She was a member of Ss. Cosmas and Damian Roman Catholic Church. Marie lived most of her life in the Punxsutawney area. Her family and extended family was the most important part of her life, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the object of much love and affection.
She is survived by her daughter; Sylvia Bosner and husband Gregory of Erie, her grandchildren; Jennifer Lyons and husband Jim, Douglas Bosner and wife Deborah, great-grandchildren; Noah and Amelia Lyons, Quinlan Bosner, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband Sylvester, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter; Allison Bosner, three brothers, and three sisters.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Sunday December 11 at the McCabe Funeral Home of Punxsutawney.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am Monday December 12, 2016 at Ss. Cosmas and Damian Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Joseph Riccardo as Celebrant.
Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Kengersky’s name to SSCD Church.
