Martha Marie Leigey, 83, Brockport, passed away Monday, April 12, 2021 at Penn Highlands DuBois.
Born March 1, 1938, in Clarence, PA, she was the daughter of the late Michael E. and Susan (Almashie) Kachonick.
On January 30, 1965, she married Lloyd R. Leigey in Bellefonte, PA. He survives.
Martha worked for Hanover Foods in Centre Hall and later retired from the Royal Inn as a housekeeper. She enjoyed flower gardening, collecting salt and pepper shakers, canning vegetables, and collecting ruby red glassware. Martha was a member of the Queen of Arch Angels Roman Catholic Church.
In addition to her husband, Martha is survived by a sister, Maryann Barnack as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents and six siblings, Albina Spilla, Helen Kachonick, Margaret Stania, Elizabeth Kachonick, and George and Michael Kachonick.
A time of gathering will be held Saturday, April 17, 2021 from 2-3 p.m. at the Adamson Funeral Chapel and Crematorium. Immediately following the gathering, a Service of Remembrance will be held at 3 p.m. from the funeral chapel with LaMarr Adamson C.L.P. officiating. To adhere to current regulations, face coverings are required and social distancing will be practiced. Visitors are asked to keep their visit brief to allow others to pay their respects. Interment will be in Parklawn Memorial Park.
