JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. – Community Action, Inc. announced Barbara Martin of Smicksburg was selected to be the Jefferson County Senior Corps-RSVP Volunteer of the Month for June.
Barbara has been a member of the Senior Corps-RSVP since May 2013 volunteering for the Punxsutawney Area Hospital Information Desk.
When asked why she volunteers, Barbara stated, “I enjoy volunteering at the hospital, it gets me out of the house, and I enjoy meeting the people.”
When Barbara is not volunteering she enjoys playing the piano and spending time with her family. Barbara attends the Grange Church of God.
