Meeting Set For Bridge Replacement in Brookville

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — There will be a public meeting from 5:30-7:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 8 at the Brookville Borough building about the 2nd Street Bridge Project.

Representatives from the Pa. Department of Transportation will present plans for the superstructure, the platform that sits on top of the supports, replacement of the bridge over Sandy Lick Creek.

Construction is scheduled to begin in 2019.

The cost estimate is $2.5-5 million.

The 50-year-old bridge was closed in April 2014 for repair work that had to be done for a 1 1/2-foot hole in there concrete.
