Mesoraco Undergoes Shoulder Surgery, Out at Least Six Months

Mesoraco-3
CINCINNATI, Ohio – Punxsutawney High School graduate Devin Mesoraco of the Cincinnati Reds underwent shoulder surgery on his non-throwing, left shoulder Tuesday.

According to C. Trent Rosecrans of the Cincinnati Enquirer, Reds manager Bryan Price said the damage was worse than anticipated.

Mesoraco is expected to miss six months, which ends his season early for the second straight year. Last year, the Reds starting catcher and a 2014 All-Star underwent season-ending hip surgery.
