Meth, Heroin, Gun Found During Traffic Stop in Winslow Township

handcuff-300x225WINSLOW TWP., Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police say a drug arrest was made early this morning on State Route 310, in Winslow Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, around 1:01 a.m. on January 12, 35-year-old John Joseph Vickers, III was stopped for a summary traffic violation.

Police say during the stop, “a syringe was visibly protruding from Vickers’ sweatshirt.”

According to police, a search warrant was conducted, and Vickers was allegedly found to be in possession of the following items:

  • loaded handgun
  • Marijuana
  • Heroin
  • Methamphetamine
  • digital scale
  • large amount of U.S. currency
  • other drug paraphernalia

Vickers was taken into custody on charges of Drug Possession, Paraphernalia, and Felon Not to Possess a Firearm.

Charges were filed through District Court 54-3-02.

He was lodged in the Jefferson County Jail.
