Michael A. Dixon Sr., 80, DuBois, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital in Ephrata, PA.
Born April 4, 1943, in Williamsport, PA, he was the son of the late Cyrus N. and Shirley Ann (Smith) Dixon.
On August 31, 1963, he married Patty (Maines) Dixon at Shiloh Church. She survives.
Mike was a truck driver for Schneider National for 35 years and previously drove for Clearfield Cheese.
He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, birdwatching, and traveling.
He was a member of Treasure Lake Interdenominational Church.
In addition to his wife, Mike is survived by two children, Michael A. (Marie) Dixon Jr., Columbia, MD, and Sherry (Peter) Varga, Ashburn, VA, and three grandchildren, Joseph, Brooke, and Gavin Varga.
In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by an infant sister.
Friends and family will be received Sunday, March 24, 2024 from 1-3 p.m. at the Adamson Funeral Chapel and Crematorium.
Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. from the funeral chapel with Pastor Dave Ginn officiating.
