Nancy Mae Hauck

hauckNancy Mae Hauck, of Sharon, formerly of Punxsutawney, passed away at 6:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2016 in Nugent Convalescent Home, Hermitage. She was 74.

Mrs. Hauck was born February 2, 1942, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of Leonard Braunns and Emma Jones Braunns.

Nancy was raised and educated in Punxsutawney and a graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School. S

he worked for Pramco and Punxsy Sports Wear as a seamstress.

Following her marriage she moved to Sharon, where she was employed as a seamstress for a dry cleaning company.

Nancy was a member of Oakland Avenue United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing, traveling, cooking and her kitty, Harley.

Surviving are: her husband, Robert Hauck, whom she married in September, 1966; her daughter, Linda Taylor, Sharpsville; two sisters, Marlene States and her husband Charles, Punxsutawney, PA; and Shirley Forsythe, Delmont, PA; a brother, James Braunns and his wife Muriel, Punxsutawney, PA; three grandchildren, Matthew and Logan Taylor; and Annelise Lorigan.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; an infant sister; and a half brother, Bob Braunns.

The family suggest memorial contributions be made to Oakland Avenue United Methodist Church, 192 N. Oakland Ave., Sharon, PA 16146.

Calling hours: 1 to 3p.m. Sunday (11/27/2016) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.

Funeral service will be at 11a.m. Monday (11/28/2016) in the funeral home, with Rev. Joseph Yurko, pastor of Oakland Ave. United Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment will be 11a.m. Tuesday (11/29/2016) at St. John’s Cemetery, Punxsutawney, PA.
