Naomi Jane (Condron) Schreckengost, 72, of Punxsutawney, died Friday, Jan. 2, 2015, at home, surrounded by her family.
She was born Dec. 3, 1942, in Echo, Pa., a daughter of the late Regis and Luella (Neville) Condron.
On July 23, 1960, she married Fred Doyle Schreckengost. He preceded her in death on Jan. 19, 1973.
Naomi enjoyed playing Bingo, nurturing her house plants and preparing meals for her family. Her biggest enjoyment was spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Pamela Stevenson and husband James of Smicksburg, Pa. and Debby Whitehouse and husband Kirk of Punxsutawney; three sons, Aaron Schreckengost and wife Becky of Hastings, Nebraska, Timothy Schreckengost and wife Sheila of Valier, Pa. and Jesse Kerner of Punxsutawney; 10 grandchildren, Zachary Schreckengost, Tina Hadden, Kayla Shearman, Trista Ott, Timothy Schreckengost Jr., Chasity Schreckengost, Paige Whitehouse, Majayla Dobson, Clark McKenrick and Peter McKenrick; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Bish of Youngstown, Ohio; and two brothers, Rev. James Condron of Pennsylvania and Larry Condron of Nevada.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one sister, Nancy Benson; and one brother, William Condron.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, Jan. 5, 2015, at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015, at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. James Condron.
Interment will follow at Eddyville Cemetery, Mahoning Township, Armstrong County.
