Oberlander010715PORTRAIT-731x1024NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Residents who are interested in learning more about the state’s gun laws and their rights while carrying firearms are encouraged to attend Rep. Donna Oberlander’s (R-Clarion/Armstrong/Forest) Firearms Safety and Rights Seminar on Saturday, March 28, at the New Bethlehem Firehall.

“Our New Bethlehem seminar will be the third one we’ve had, and each event has provided local residents with a wealth of valuable information about the state’s gun laws and the rights a gun owner has while carrying,” Oberlander said. “This informational forum is designed for those who own firearms, have concealed carry permits and those who are interested in pursuing a permit.”

Presenters Clarion County District Attorney Mark Aaron and Clarion County Sheriff Rex Munsee will focus on a wide variety of firearms safety and Second Amendment subjects including:

– How to obtain a permit to carry a concealed weapon.
– Circumstances under which a permit can be revoked.
– What to do when coming in contact with a member of law enforcement while carrying a concealed weapon.
– Details surrounding Pennsylvania’s Castle Doctrine and other valuable information regarding state gun laws.
– Concealed carry license applications through the Clarion County Sheriff’s Office will also be available at this event.

The seminar is free of charge, and will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Seating is limited and will fill up quickly, so interested individuals should pre-register as soon as possible by calling Oberlander’s Clarion district office at (814) 226-9000 or signing up via her website at www.RepOberlander.com.

The firehall is located at 425 Arch St., in New Bethlehem.
