One Injured in Car vs. Tractor Trailer Crash in Washington Township

A moving ambulance on it''s way to a crash site.WASHINGTOWN TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) According to DuBois-based State Police, a two-vehicle collision involving a tractor trailer occurred around 3:36 p.m. on February 1 on Interstate 80 East, in Washington Township, Jefferson County.

Police say Jameelah S. Jones, 19, of Wilkes Barre, lost control of her 2012 Nissan Sentra and crashed into a 2010 Kenworth Conventional tractor trailer.

Jones was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

She suffered injuries of unknown severity and was transported to Penn Highlands Hospital by DuBois EMS for treatment.

Jones was cited with a traffic violation.

The name of the driver of the tractor trailer was not released.

PSP DuBois were assisted on scene by DuBois EMS, Washington Township V.F.D., and PennDOT.
