Over $2,500 in Bad Checks Issued to Magistrate for Traffic Citations

BROOKVILLE BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – The Brookville Borough Police Department filed charges against a man who wrote $2,548.00 in bad checks to the district magistrate’s office for traffic citations.

According to Officer William Gallagher, of the Brookville Borough Police Department, a known man wrote five bad checks to District Judge Bazylak’s office totaling $2,548.00 (including return fees) for citations that were issued to him for traffic violations.

Misdemeanor charges were filed for bad checks on June 25, 2019.

The name of the defendant was not released.
