PA Hunter-Trapper Course Set for October 26 at Jefferson Co. Fairgrounds

CaptureBROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – The Pennsylvania Game Commission will host a Pennsylvania Hunter-Trapper Education course from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on October 26 in the Shields Building at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in Brookville, Jefferson County.

This six-hour training course is required by law for all first-time hunters and trappers before they can purchase a license.

Participants must pass a certification exam at the end of the class to complete the training.

Registration for the course is currently open on the Pennsylvania Game Commission website.

In order to register, participants must be at least 11 years old by October 26.

Prior to attending this class, Chapters 1, 4, 5, and 9 located at Today’s Hunter & Trapper in PA must be read. This independent study will require about four hours to complete.
