PA Residents Asked to Be Alert as Manhunt Continues for Facebook Live Murder Suspect

ERIE, Pa. (EYT) — Pennsylvania State Police are asking the public to be on the lookout for a murder suspect who posted a video of the crime on Facebook.

According to published reports, Steven Stephens, is described as a black male, 6-foot-1-inch tall, and weighing 244 pounds.

Stephens is a suspect in the murder of 74-year-old Robert Godwin, Sr., that occurred on Sunday in Cleveland, Ohio. Stephens allegedly killed Godwin and then posted a video of the crime on Facebook.

State Police say Stephens is known to be armed and dangerous.

He was last known to be driving a 2016 white Ford Fusion that had a temporary tag.

His current direction of travel is unknown; however, he was last known to be in Cleveland.

Although Stephens has claimed responsibility for more murders, those are unconfirmed.

According to Erie-based State Police, there is no confirmed information that Stephens is in the area.

According to Cleveland Police, Stephens’ cell phone last released a “ping,” or a signal, in Erie.

Cleveland police are asking residents in Pennyslvania, New York, Michigan, and Indiana to be on the lookout for Stephens.

Anyone with information should call 911 immediately.
