Patricia Erma (Keen) Carpenter

Screen Shot 2015-12-09 at 7.58.44 AMPatricia Erma (Keen) Carpenter, 74, of Clarion, left to be in the loving arms of Her Heavenly Father on December 3, 2015 at the Golden Living Center in Clarion, Pennsylvania.

Patricia was born on August 23, 1941 in Pensacola, Florida to the late Dudley Blair Keen and Catherine Samaria Parker.
Patricia was a born again believer in Jesus Christ.

Her interest in life was tracing her Native American lineage. It is still unknown if she truly was related to the famous Indian Chief Quanah Parker. Patricia enjoyed fishing, hunting, and canning foods; but most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She especially loved holidays, when she would bake and cook enough food to feed a small army.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 57 years, Chester Richard Carpenter. Together they had seven sons, who all survive her. They are Chester Edward Carpenter and his wife, Kyu OK, of University Place, Washington; Robert Wesley Carpenter, of Clarion; John Dudley Carpenter and his wife, Susanne, of Iverness, Florida; Richard Dean Carpenter, of Clarion; Patrick Ellis Carpenter and his wife, Michelle, of Beach City, Ohio; Brian Scott Carpenter, of Clarion; and David Brennen Carpenter and his wife, Tammy Lynn, of Clinton Twp., Michigan.

She is also survived by an adopted son, Paul Townsend; nine grandchildren, Gary, Matthew, Tristan, Samaria, Amanda, Brian, Alicia, Jessica, and Josephine; four great-grandchildren, Brandon, Alex, Mya, and Damien; and an extended family too great to list.

Patricia is deeply loved by all and will be sorely missed beyond measure.

The family acknowledges that this is not a final goodbye, but just a “we’ll see you later Mom” until Our Heavenly Father has His family reunion in the sky on the Day of Resurrection.

There will be a life celebration held for Patricia on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at a place to be determined later. Her ashes will eventually be scattered on the beach in Pensacola, Florida. Contact family for more information.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Furlong Funeral Home, Summerville, PA; Gregory K. Furlong, FD. (www.furlongfuneralhome.com).
