Paul Douglas Youngdahl

Paul Douglas Youngdahl, 67, grew his angel wings and was called home on April 26, 2021 at Select Specialty Hospital in Greensboro, NC.

He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and uncle. He is survived by his wife of 34 yrs Carlene J Youngdahl, five children – Dan (Emily) Youngdahl, George Youngdahl, Jason (Kim) Youngdahl, Cody (Tosha) Youngdahl, and Amanda Youngdahl. He is also survived by his mother, Maxine Youngdahl, one sister Sherry (Ken) Sheehan and one brother Richard “Rick” (Dorothy) Youngdahl, nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and all of his “adopted” family.

Paul was predeceased by his father Richard “Dick” Youngdahl, daughter Janet Nicole, and two grandchildren Sami and DJ.

Paul is a veteran of the US army. He served for five years. Though his passion was to follow in his father’s footsteps and pursue over-the-road trucking which he did for 45 years. Paul was a living road map, it didn’t matter where you could be, he would know exactly how to finish your road trip. All the places he went, all the memories he made, he was able to make anyone feel welcomed and loved. His smile was infectious.

He was proud of his children and grandchildren for their many accomplishments. Though he had multiple health issues, he never let it bring him down. He always kept a positive attitude and inspired others to keep soldiering through. He fought long and hard. This isn’t goodbye, it’s when we see each other again.
