Head coach Cael Sanderson’s squad will once again wrestle seven home duals, including one in the Bryce Jordan Center.

Penn State opens up the season at Army West Point on Friday, Nov. 11, for a 7 p.m. dual meet (please note all times listed throughout are Eastern). The Nittany Lions then host Stanford on Sunday, Nov. 13, in Rec Hall. The home opener is slated to begin at 2 p.m. The next weekend, Penn State will travel to the University of Pennsylvania to take part in the Keystone Classic on Sunday, Nov. 20.

Sanderson’s squad shifts to the near-16,000 seat Bryce Jordan Center on Sunday, Dec, 4, for this year’s BJC Dual. Penn State will host intra-state rival Lehigh at 2 p.m. in one of the year’s marquee match-ups. The Nittany Lions return to Rec Hall the next week, hosting Binghamton at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 11. Penn State will head to the 2016 Reno Tournament of Champions on Sunday, Dec. 18, returning to the event for the first time since 2009-10, Sanderson’s first season in Happy Valley.

Big Ten action begins with a Midwest road swing. Penn State visits Minnesota on Friday, Jan. 6, for an 8 p.m. dual in Minneapolis. Two days later, the Nittany Lions visit Nebraska on Sunday, Jan. 8, at 3 p.m. The next two weekends feature Big Ten duals set for the Big Ten Network, with specific dates and times to be announced. Penn State will host Rutgers on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, Jan. 13, 14 or 15, in Rec Hall. The Nittany Lions visit Iowa on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, Jan. 20, 21 or 22, for a match-up in Carver Hawkeye Arena. Specific dates and times for those duals will be announced by the Big Ten Network soon.

The Nittany Lions are at Wisconsin on Friday, Jan. 27, for an 8 p.m. dual with the Badgers. Penn State returns to Rec Hall to face Northwestern on Sunday, Jan. 29, at 2 p.m. Another Big Ten Network dual is set for the next week as the Lions visit Ohio State on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, Feb. 3, 4 or 5.

Two Big Ten meets will close out Penn State’s home schedule the next weekend. The Nittany Lions host Illinois on Friday, Feb. 10, at 7 p.m. and then welcome Maryland on Sunday, Feb. 12, at 2 p.m. for the home finale.

Sanderson’s squad will be the road team in one of the 2016-17 NWCA Dual Meet Championship Series match-ups on Sunday, Feb. 19. Penn State, which won last year’s event with a home win over Oklahoma State, will travel to one of the nation’s top non-Big Ten schools.

The 2016-17 Big Ten Championships will be hosted by Indiana University on Saturday and Sunday, March 4-5, in Bloomington, Ind. The 2016-17 NCAA Wrestling Championships will return to St. Louis and the Scottrade Center on Thursday through Saturday, March 16-18.
