The Panthers will split into two teams and go head to head in a match-up prior to opening their season in Kennesaw, Ga., at the Kennesaw State Invitational. Pitt will face Liberty in its opening match on August 26 and will also see Missouri and host Kennesaw State that weekend.

This will be Panther fans’ first opportunity to get a look at the 2016 squad as Pitt does not begin its home slate at the Fitzgerald Field House until September 9-10 when it hosts the Panther Invitational. The tournament will feature three different teams along with Pitt, including American, Coastal Carolina and Michigan. Six games are set to take place that weekend.

Pitt enters this year having posted back-to-back 20-win seasons in 2014 and 2015. Head coach Dan Fisher will look to continue the Panthers’ winning ways en route to a spot in the 2016 NCAA Tournament bracket.
