BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – Police say a woman intentionally drove her vehicle into a telephone pole in Brookville on Sunday.

Brookville Police were dispatched to South White Street around 8:04 a.m. after a man called 911 to report that he was trapped in a vehicle by a female who was refusing to let him out.

The man stated that the female operator of the vehicle was driving very erratically causing him to fear for his life.

According to police, the female operator then took control of the gear shift holding the vehicle in neutral until it slowed to where the victim could jump out.

Police say the female operator was “so mad that the victim got out of her car,” that she intentionally drove the vehicle into a telephone pole causing the pole to break in half.

Police say the vehicle was severely damaged in the accident.

Charges of Criminal Mischief, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Simple Assault, False Imprisonment, and Disorderly Conduct are pending. She also faces numerous traffic violations.

The woman’s name was not released.
