Police: Intoxicated Corsica Man Crashes Car into Steel Pole Along Route 66

Police car lightsCLARION TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Clarion-based State Police say around 9:03 p.m. on November 6, a DUI-related crash occurred on State Route 66, in Clarion Township.

According to police, this crash occurred as a known, 24-year-old Corsica man was traveling south on State Route 66 and drove into the parking lot of Air Ground Express, striking a concrete-filled steel pole at the northwest corner of the Air Ground Express building.

The vehicle came to a rest approximately eight feet south of the point of impact, police say.

The driver was not injured.

He was not using a seat belt.

Charges for the driver are pending the toxicology report.
