Police: Driver Flees Crash Scene on Route 830

Police sirenWASHINGTON TWP., Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police say a one-vehicle accident occurred on State Route 830, in Washington Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, around 1:00 a.m. on April 27, for unknown reasons, a red 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt traveled off the roadway, struck a street sign, mailboxes, and a Verizon utility pole.

Prior to police arrival, the unknown driver fled the scene by unknown means.

The investigation continues.
