Police: Falls Creek Man Arrested After Several Pounds of Marijuana Seized at Residence

Police sirenWASHINGTON TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say a narcotics investigation occurred at a residence on Beechtree Road, in Falls Creek, Washington Township, Jefferson County.

Police say an ongoing investigation into the distribution of marijuana led to a search warrant being issued on June 24 for the residence of 23-year-old Austin J. Smith, of 356 Beechtree Road in Falls Creek.

Pennsylvania State Police SERT team executed a search warrant at the residence shortly after 6:00 a.m. on June 24.

“As a result of the search warrant, several pounds of marijuana were seized along with a large sum of U.S. currency. Several firearms were also seized and taken into evidence,” according to police.

Smith was arraigned and placed in the Jefferson County Jail.
