Police Investigating After $2,461.00 Check Intercepted, Forged in Henderson Township

HENDERSON TWP., Pa. (EYT) – An investigation has been launched after a large check was intercepted in Henderson Township.

According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, the theft happened at 4:52 p.m. on Friday, November 3, in Henderson Township, Jefferson County.

Police say a suspect(s) intercepted a check, forged it, and attempted to mobile deposit it several times in the amount of $2,461.00.

The victim is a 67-year-old Reynoldsville man.

This investigation is ongoing.
