Police: Man Slams Woman Into Stove, Punches Her in the Head

FALLS CREEK BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – A Jefferson County man is facing criminal charges related to an incident where he allegedly slammed a woman into a stove and punched her repeatedly.

Court documents indicate a hearing for 35-year-old Corey Thomas Loney, of Falls Creek, was continued on Tuesday, June 30, and has been scheduled to resume at 9:45 a.m. on August 20.

Loney faces the following charges:

– Simple Assault, Misdemeanor 2
– Harassment – Subject Other to Physical Contact, Summary
– Disorderly Conduct Engage In Fighting, Summary

The charges stem from an incident that occurred in Falls Creek Borough, Jefferson County, in early March.

According to a criminal complaint, around 8:29 p.m. on March 10, DuBois-based State Police were dispatched to a residence on Main Street in Falls Creek Borough for a report of an assault.

At the scene, police spoke to a known victim who was found lying on the ground outside, crying, and in severe pain, the complaint states.

The victim reported she was trying to take her belongings from Corey Loney‘s residence, when Loney “flipped out,” and “slammed” her back against his kitchen stove. Loney then reportedly grabbed the victim by the hair and threw her out into the hallway/staircase landing area and continued to strike her in the head with a closed fist, according to the complaint.

The victim told police she was eventually able to get back down the stairs and away from Loney, which was the area where police found her.

The complaint notes the victim complained of severe back pain and said she could not stand up. She was then transported to Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital for treatment.

According to the complaint, Loney refused to answer his door.

The charges were filed through Magisterial District Judge David B. Inzana’s office on March 30.
