Police: Man Suspected of Driving Under the Influence With BAC Over Three Times the Legal Limit

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — Authorities have unveiled the findings of a DUI investigation from an incident in December.

According to a report released on Thursday, April 11, Brookville Borough Police observed a vehicle with a passenger-side headlight that was not functioning properly, and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle in Brookville Borough, Jefferson County, on December 29, 2023.

During this investigation, officers were able to determine that the driver was under the influence of an alcoholic beverage, police say.

Through the investigation, it was determined that the alcohol level of the driver was .253, with the legal limit being .08.

The driver is listed as a known 37-year-old man.

Charges will be filed through Magisterial District Judge Gregory Bazylak’s office.

The suspect’s name was not released.
