Police: Punxsy Man Flees Accident Scene After Vehicle Crashes into Residence

HENDERSON TWP., Pa. (EYT) – According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, a hit and run crash occurred early Saturday morning on State Route 119, in Henderson Township, Jefferson County.

Police say around 6:10 a.m. on June 10, a 2000 Subaru Outback – driven by 30-year-old Dennis A. Kean, of Punxsutawney – was traveling north on Route 119, and the front left tire blew out. Kean lost control of the vehicle, and it left the northbound travel lane and struck a residential front deck along the stone fixture attachment.

Police say that upon impact, Kean fled the scene without provided any documentation to the property owner or reporting the accident to the police.

Sean traveled approximately 2.6 miles on a flat tire/riding on the rim to his aunt’s house where she transported him back to the scene.

Police say Kean will be cited for the crash with summary traffic citations filed at Magisterial District office 54-3-02.

Kean was not injured in the crash.
