PINE CREEK TWP., Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police have released the details of a rollover crash that occurred on Interstate 80 in Pine Creek Township last week.

According to DuBois-based State Police, the accident happened around 9:31 a.m. on November 2, on Interstate 80 westbound near mile marker 82.4, in Pine Creek Township, Jefferson County.

Police say 27-year-old Jeffery D. Cuevahernandez, of Hicksville, New York, was operating a 2006 Infiniti QX56, traveling west in the right lane towing a 12-foot U-Haul trailer when the trailer lost traction with the roadway and began to sway, causing Cuevahernandez to lose control of the vehicle. The vehicle then overturned onto its passenger side and came to a final rest in the left lane, perpendicular to the roadway, with the trailer still upright partially blocking the right lane.

Cuevahernandez and his passengers, identified as 31-year-old Edward V. Chavezmorales, of Hicksville, New York, and 36-year-old Maria S. Guevaraortega, of Hicksville, New York, were all using seat belts, and no injuries were reported.
