Police Release Details on Rollover Crash in Oliver Township; Summerville Woman Life Flighted

OLIVER TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say around 12:30 p.m. on January 13, a one-car accident occurred on East Branch Road, in Oliver Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, 22-year-old Natasha M. Davis of Summerville, was apparently driving at a speed that was too great for the existing roadway conditions while negotiating a sharp left hand curve in the roadway.

She subsequently lost control of her 1999 Pontiac Grand Am due to the excessive gravel. Her car began to rotate counterclockwise while traveling into the oncoming lane of travel, police say.

The car entered the oncoming traffic lane before colliding with an embankment on the north side of roadway and then suddenly rolled onto its roof, according to police.

The car came to a final rest on its roof and facing in a northeast direction.

Davis was using a seat belt and suffered injuries of unknown severity. She was transported to Altoona Regional Medical Center.

Jefferson County EMS, Oliver and Pine Creek Township Volunteer Fire Departments, South Side Towing, and Life Flight assisted at the scene.
