DuBois-Based State Police say the accident happened around 6:25 p.m. at the intersection of Route 219 and Rattlesnake Road and involved 89-year-old Jack P. Marshall of Brockport, 25-year-old Joseph F. Chestnut of DuBois, and a 16-year-old male from Brockway.

Police say Marshall was traveling southbound on SR-219 and attempting to make a left turn on Rattlesnake Road when he drove into the path of a 1998 Honda Accord operated by a 16-year-old Brockway boy.

Marshall’s 2007 Ford Taurus rotated clockwise and struck a 2011 Ford Ranger operated by Chestnut.

It then continued to rotate, striking a stop sign before coming to a final rest facing south.

Marshall was transported to Penn Highlands DuBois where he was later pronounced dead as a result of his injuries.

No other injuries were reported.

Brockway Volunteer Hose Company and Brockway Area Ambulance assisted at the scene.
