Police Release Information on Rose Twp. Crash

car-accident-graphic-5254_jpg_475x310_q85-300x225ROSE TWP., Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police released details on a one-car accident that occurred on Interstate 80, at mile marker 78.1 westbound, in Rose Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, around 8:25 p.m. on October 20, 46-year-old Laurel A. Jefferson, of Tempe, AZ, was traveling westbound on I-80 in the right hand lane in a 2015 Audi Q5 when a deer entered the roadway directly in the path of the car.

The left front end of the car hit the deer, police say.

Jefferson brought the car to a controlled stop along the right berm, according to police.

Jefferson and a passenger – 51-year-old Kathleen L. Smith, of Mesa, AZ – were wearing seat belts and neither was injured.

The car was towed from the scene by McPherson Towing.
